LPG

LPG or Liquefied Petroleum Gas is one of the major fuels for kitchen. This gas is a combination of two important hydrocarbons namely Butane and Propane. Both are light hydrocarbons, flammable, odorless, and colorless gases. These hydrocarbons are in the gaseous state at normal temperature and pressure. In modest pressure and cooling, it transforms into liquid form. In this form, LPG is safe to be carried, subject to proper handling of the same. The gas is obtained as a derivative of the processing of natural gas as well as refining of crude oil.

The production and distribution of the gas is a chain process. Proper processing of this gas leads to the minimization of wastage of the energy derived from. In the production process, two types of energy sources are obtained. One the oils that are transported to refineries and the other are the natural gases that go with the standard commercial specifications.

The next step is the transportation one. In this step, LPG in Boiler or LPG for Ceramics are transported to the storage terminals by either LPG Pipeline or carriers or by goods train.

The storage place or the terminals store large quantities of imported LPG. From the storage place, LPG is delivered to the cylinder filling plants by road, train, coastal tankers, or pipeline.

In the bottling plants, cylinders are filled with propane and butane. LPG is stored in pressurized tanks. LPG for the foam industry in India and LPG furnace are quite common areas of using liquefied petroleum gas. From the bottling plants, the cylinders are transported by trucks to the retailers. The supply from these bottling plants includes private and professional customers. However, the small bulk truckstransport the gas to various consumers from the storage centers.
